Harper's Hope 41 Foundation
Harper's Hope 41 Foundation , @Harp41
Founded in 2009, by New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper and his mother, Princess Harper, as a part of his commitment to serve the communities that have supported him throughout his life.
The traditional African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child" has never been more necessary than it is today. Roman was fortunate enough to be raised by a "village" that provided support, security, direction, education, and concern for him as a child. Without this "village" approach that helped mold Roman into the adult he is today, there is no telling where he would be. As a result, Roman understands how important it is to provide today's youth with strong community partners and programs.
Harper's Hope 4*1 Foundation exists to prepare our youth for tomorrow by providing them with the tools necessary to be successful in a pressure-packed world. We do this through our reading program, after-school program, 7-on-7 tournament, and continuous outreach programs throughout the year.
Throughout the year, The Harper’s Hope 4*1 Foundation presents a wide variety of community event programs such as reading contests, entrepreneur workshops, after school youth activities, summer camps for kids and mentoring programs.
