Get a thermometer to cook chicken and meat safely. A grill basket for vegetables and fish. Try grill mitts, they should be heat resistant and cover at least part of your forearm. Now, you’ll want a good brush, a scraper tool to clean off your grill for the next BBQ.

Instructions

Do you love a good barbecue like I do? Here’s how you maintain your propane or gas grill so your food always tastes delicious. Start by disconnecting your gas or propane tank. Do this after you grill so the grates are still slightly warm and easier to clean with a stiff wire brush and grill scraper. Check the burners for clogs and clean off any incrusted food from the lava rock. Then, clean inside your grill with warm soapy water. Check to make sure all the connections are good and let your grill heat up completely to burn off any soapy residue. Then, all you have to do is decide what to make for dinner.

Supplies
  • Stiff Wire Brush with Scraper
  • Soapy Water Spray
  • Sponge with Abrasive Back
